Paint Correction

This service is an absolute must for anyone looking to buy or sell a used vehicle. If you are treating yourself to a new car and your budget just won’t stretch to a brand new car, this is the time to talk to Finish First. When you’re washing off your pride and joy for the first time is probably when you are going to notice all those annoying little things you didn’t pick up when the car was sat on the forecourt, Fear not, we have a solution.

What is paint correction?

Look at the paint finish on any used vehicle in detail and you will see the deterioration that has taken place throughout the life of the vehicle. Hazey, swirly, scratched looking paint, dents, chips, bad repairs, colour match issues, we can see them all.

At Finish First we can provide a comprehensive appraisal of the body and paintwork and offer solutions accordingly. Many of the surface scratches a car will pick up in everyday use can be removed without re-painting. Our paint correction program begins by removing all traffic film, tar, grease, oil etc. We will then flat every panel to remove any surface imperfections (except chips and dents - unfortunately the only way to remove these is to paint the panels). At this stage we can determine whether or not any of your panels need re-painting and provide quotes appropriately. Once we are satisfied with the flatting process, the polishing begins. We machine polish each panel using finer and finer grade cutting agents, and when the desired gloss level is achieved we will then apply a coat of the finest carnuba wax polish to protect the suface for many months to come. The end result is stunning. Your paintwork will have that beautiful deep swirl free shine, generally only seen on brand new cars - and a coat of wax that will actually last. The vehicle can then be valeted inside and out and suddenly your used vehicle could easily be mistaken for that brand new one.
